Gateway Residential Care was established in 2007 in the North West and today is a leading provider of children’s residential services operating across numerous locations in Sligo, Leitrim, Roscommon and Cavan and continues to expand to other parts of the country.

Gateway Residential Care works in partnership with TUSLA And Northern Ireland Health and Social Care Trust, offering a range of child-centred residential services for children between 8-18 years who require out-of-home care.

These children’s needs may include emotional, cognitive, mental or attachment-related needs which require enhanced support to address and thereby enable them to develop into healthy young people and adults.

Quality of Service

All our staff have been recruited and trained to work effectively with our children and young people who have experienced significant trauma, neglect and abuse often resulting in difficulty forming and maintaining mutually supportive relationships.

The approach to delivering services at Gateway Residential Care is driven by the values of the organisation as follows;

  • Empathy: to compassionately understand the experience and perspective of others

  • Trust: to behave in a trustworthy manner

  • Dependability: to have consistently high standards and do what we say we’ll do

  • Open Communication: to ensure an excellent quality of communication and to have the courage to discuss difficult matters openly and honestly
