Provider of Registered Services since 2007, based on quality, delivered in partnership with the HSE in a cost-effective manner. The Organisation has appointed an Advisory Board to oversee the development and delivery of services. The Board meets every two months, and includes four people who have been closely associated with the organisation in a consultative and training capacity over the past three years. The Organisation has the capacity to provide:

  • intensive community based / home support services to young people and their families / foster families
  • residential care with education (4 bed on outskirts of Sligo town)
  • emergency and planned respite ( 8 hours’ notice)
  • What Works Assessment Service (available to families and foster care families)
  • After care mentoring and support / transition to independent living (16-21 years)

Our services are provided 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.

Gateway is committed to providing intensive individually tailored care to a small number of young people aged 12 to 21 years. The size of the organisation is critical to it being able to offer the appropriate level of care and ensure that it is consistently meeting the objectives for each of the services and the individual needs of each young person.
